LAMÈQUE – The 2018 Annual Fundraising Campaign of the Fondation de l’Hôpital de Lamèque was officially launched this morning in the conference room of the Lamèque Hospital and Community Health Centre.
The purpose of this ceremony, with a number of guests and dignitaries in attendance, was to publicize the projects that will be undertaken as part of the 2018 Annual Campaign, to thank the members of the various committees, to highlight the contributions made by donors, and to announce the final result of the annual campaign.
“With their presence, the foundations from the Acadian Peninsula promote the Network’s mission by enabling it to excel in improving people's health. Therefore, each penny raised benefits the entire population, making the dream of a better quality of life for present and future generations possible.” Gilles Lanteigne, President and CEO of Vitalité Health Network.
The financial objective for this year’s campaign was $40,000. A total amount of $76,995 was announced and will allow equipment to be purchased for the following areas: medical sector, clinical services, Appointment and Walk-In Clinic, Miscou Health Centre and medical imaging sector. It will also improve the hospital’s spiritual care and support the regional hospital’s major campaign.
“All donations made to the Foundation are invested right here, for you,” said Yoland Chiasson, Chair of the Foundation's Board of Directors.
The mission of the Fondation de l'Hôpital de Lamèque is to raise funds in support of the Lamèque Hospital and Community Health Centre’s development priorities in order to meet our community’s changing needs effectively..
