ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

LAMÈQUE – La Fondation de l’Hôpital de Lamèque Inc. held its annual general meeting for fiscal year 2014-2015 on November 30.  Board of Directors Chairman Yoland Chiasson took the opportunity to present a positive report of activities for the past year, which contributed to improving the care and services offered in the following areas: patient care, specialized regional services and fight against cancer and continuing education and other sectors.

In the past fiscal year, the Foundation gave the Lamèque Hospital and Community Health Centre a total of $47,702 to provide the staff with the equipment they need to improve care. “Without the participation of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers, this investment would simply have been impossible. The amounts collected through your donations translate into concrete action associated with our mission, which consists of raising funds in support of the Lamèque Hospital and CHC’s development priorities so that it can meet our community’s changing needs effectively ”, said Mr. Yoland  Chiasson, chairman of the Board of Directors.

The Foundation also took advantage of the meeting to recognize donors who have made a cumulative donation of $1,000, as well as everyone who, through their contributions, advanced to a higher level on the Foundation’s permanent wall of recognition, located near the facility’s main entrance.

The elected members of the Board of the Foundation are:
Yoland Chiasson (Chair), Norma Aubut (Vice Chair), Elizabeth A. Duguay (Treasurer), Shelley Robichaud (Secretary), Raymonde Chiasson, Maxime Duguay, Léonce Larocque, Dr. Dawn Marie Martin Ward and Denis Savoie.
