{"id":1369,"date":"2015-11-26T02:21:58","date_gmt":"2015-11-26T02:21:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fondationhopitallameque.ca\/?p=1369"},"modified":"2019-02-28T02:25:04","modified_gmt":"2019-02-28T02:25:04","slug":"a-total-of-72822-to-provide-the-staff-with-the-equipment-they-need-to-improve-care","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fondationhopitallameque.ca\/en\/a-total-of-72822-to-provide-the-staff-with-the-equipment-they-need-to-improve-care\/","title":{"rendered":"A TOTAL OF $72,822 TO PROVIDE THE STAFF WITH THE EQUIPMENT THEY NEED TO IMPROVE CARE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>November 26, 2015<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Annual General Meeting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>LAM\u00c8QUE \u2013 La Fondation de l\u2019H\u00f4pital de Lam\u00e8que Inc. held its annual general meeting for fiscal year 2014-2015 last night.&nbsp; Board of Directors Chairman Roger Chiasson took the opportunity to present a positive report of activities for the past year, which contributed to improving the care and services offered in the following areas: $39,464 \u2013 patient care (54 %), $17,328 \u2013 Diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up sectors (24 %), $14,874 \u2013 Specialized regional services and fight against cancer (20 %) and $1,156 \u2013 Continuing education and other sectors (2 %).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past fiscal year, the Foundation gave the Lam\u00e8que Hospital and Community Health Centre a total of $72,822 to provide the staff with the equipment they need to improve care. \u201cYour donations or participation in our various activities make several achievements possible.&nbsp; Thanks to all volunteers who give of their time as without them it would be difficult to accomplish all that the Foundation does in a year\u201d, said Mr. Roger Chiasson, chairman of the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundation also took advantage of the meeting to recognize donors who have made a cumulative donation of $1,000, as well as everyone who, through their contributions, advanced to a higher level on the Foundation\u2019s permanent wall of recognition, located near the facility\u2019s main entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The elected members of the Board of the Foundation are:<br>Yoland Chiasson (Chairman); Norma Aubut (Vice-Chair); Elisabeth Duguay (Treasurer); Shelley Robichaud (Secretary-Director of the Lam\u00e8que Hospital and Community Health Centre), L\u00e9once Larocque, Maxime Duguay, Mariette Duguay and Dr Dawn Marie Martin-Ward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mission of the Foundation is to represent the community and raise funds to maintain and improve health care services provided by the Lam\u00e8que Hospital and Community Health Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-30-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For further information:<br>Mona Doucet<br>Director of Development<br>Development Office<br>506-344-3496<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img src=\"http:\/\/fondationhopitallameque.ca\/en\/sites\/fondationhopitallameque.ca\/files\/styles\/050-100\/public\/editor\/images\/dsc_1222_reduit.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Caption for the photo:<br>M.
