LAM\u00c8QUE \u2013 La Fondation de l\u2019H\u00f4pital de Lam\u00e8que Inc.\nheld its annual general meeting for the 2020-2021 fiscal year on December 9,\n2021. The Chair of the Board of Directors, Ms. Norma Aubut, took the\nopportunity to present a positive report on the activities of the past year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whether through personal, association or corporate donations or the organization of an activity, such as the Northern Star, the Roses Radiothon or our largest campaign, which focused on the renovation of the Family Medicine Unit, the people of the region made it clear how important the Lam\u00e8que Hospital and CHC is to them through their participation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here is a summary of how we allocated funds this past\nyear to once again improve health care and services for people:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 \n$43,027 \u2013 Patient care and diagnostic, treatment and follow-up services\n(76%);<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 \n$13,163 \u2013 Specialized regional services and services in the fight\nagainst cancer (23%);<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 $550 \u2013 Development and training (1%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe success of our\ncampaigns is the result of the great generosity of the community and the\ncommitment of our volunteers. Thank you to\neveryone for your important support of our region\u2019s people. The challenges are\ngreat and the needs are even greater. This\nis what motivates us to continue one and all,\u201d said Ms. Aubut, Chair of the Board of\nDirectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The foundation also used the meeting to explain that\nnow is the right time to re-evaluate our priorities and strengthen our\nfundraising strategies. In this respect,\nthe Foundation is working on the implementation of a solid strategic plan that\nwill guide it until 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
