{"id":2754,"date":"2022-02-10T12:16:18","date_gmt":"2022-02-10T12:16:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fondationhopitallameque.ca\/?p=2754"},"modified":"2022-02-10T12:16:19","modified_gmt":"2022-02-10T12:16:19","slug":"la-fondation-de-lhopital-de-lameque-exceeds-its-fundraising-goal-by-raising-300000-and-goes-even-further-to-support-frontline-staff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fondationhopitallameque.ca\/en\/la-fondation-de-lhopital-de-lameque-exceeds-its-fundraising-goal-by-raising-300000-and-goes-even-further-to-support-frontline-staff\/","title":{"rendered":"La Fondation de l\u2019H\u00f4pital de Lam\u00e8que exceeds its fundraising goal by raising $300,000 and goes even further to support frontline staff!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>These\ncommitments were confirmed just 4 months after the launch of the &#8220;Growing\nHealthier Together&#8221; fundraising campaign.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lam\u00e8que,\nFebruary 10th 2022 <\/strong>\u2013 La Fondation de l\u2019H\u00f4pital de Lam\u00e8que announced today\nthat they are raising their fundraising goal as they have exceeded all\nexpectations by raising a total of $338,821, which is $38,821 more than their\ngoal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundation had launched its\nfundraising campaign, with a goal of raising $300,000, in the fall of\n2021.&nbsp; The expansion of the Family\nMedicine Unit will improve patient and staff comfort and access to primary\nhealth care for the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, the Lam\u00e8que Hospital\nFoundation announced new major partners in its fundraising campaign, setting a\nnew tone for the campaign: UNI Coop\u00e9ration financi\u00e8re ($50,000), l\u2019Association\nCoop\u00e9rative des p\u00eacheurs de l\u2019Ile lt\u00e9e ($10,000), Gauthier Marine ($10,000),\nTim Hortons of Shippagan ($10,000) and l\u2019Ind\u00e9pendant of Shippagan ($10,000).&nbsp; \u201cToday&#8217;s pledges total $90,000, giving us a\ntotal of $338,821 to date, which is 113% of our overall goal of $300,000. Our\ngoal has been more than met and the new Family Medicine Unit layout will soon\nbecome a reality! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all our generous donors!\u201d declared\nDre Dawn Marie Martin-Ward, physician at the Family Medicine Unit of the Lam\u00e8que Hospital and Community\nHealth Center (CHC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The President of the Board of\nDirectors of the Lam\u00e8que Hospital Foundation, Mrs. Norma Aubut, continued in\nthe same vein. &#8220;With the momentum we are seeing in the community and the\nneeds that still need to be met, I am pleased to announce that we have been\nasked to continue the campaign and we have all accepted! Your great generosity\nallows us to go even further. I am extremely proud to announce that an\nadditional $65,000 will be dedicated to enhance the Frontline Staff Development\nBursary Fund. This brings our revised fundraising goal to $365,000. Based on\ntoday&#8217;s announcements, we are 93% of the way to our new goal of $365,000, which\nmeans we have raised $338,821 so far.&#8221; Vitalit\u00e9 Health Network is very\nproud of its partnership with the Lam\u00e8que Hospital Foundation. &#8220;The\nimproved services provided at the Lam\u00e8que Hospital &amp; CHC are in line with\nour strategy to ensure the development of optimal access to resources and care\nthroughout the Network&#8217;s territory, particularly in rural areas. This will\nbenefit people throughout the community, in a health care facility close to\nhome. The Network is most grateful for the generosity and commitment of the\npopulation.\u201d said Ms. Shelley Robichaud, representative of the establishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Impacts on\nservices offered<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The $65,000 added to the\nfundraising goal will be used to meet a need for front-line staff\ndevelopment.&nbsp; Staff development is very\nimportant to ensure that they can provide quality health care and services\nclose to home. Health care is continually developing, and we want to ensure\nthat our professionals have access to the best practices in their respective\nfields.&nbsp; Equipment is important, but the\nhuman resource is indispensable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To make a donation to the Foundation,\nyou can go online to www.fondationhopitallameque.ca.
